HTC Wildfire is a featured packed smartphone which offers almost everything an user might want from a phone. It supports quad band GSM 850/900/1800/1900 2G networks and dual band HSDPA 900/2100 3G networks. Its dimensions are 106.8 x 60.4 x 12 mm and weighs merely 118 grams. It is one of the most compact and lightweight smartphones in the market.

The phone has a 3.2 inches TFT capacitive touchscreen which supports a resolution of 240 X 320 pixels and can display upto 16 million colors. An accelerometer sensors allows users to change the orientation of the display to portrait or landscape automatically by tilting the phone and a proxy sensor automatically turns off the display during calls. Other features of the phone include multi-touch input, touch sensitive controls, turn to mute and lift to dim out calls and much more. It uses HTC Sense user interface which offers a brilliant experience for the user. Like most other HTC phones, the HTC Wildfire also features a optical trackpad for easy navigation.

The handset has a Qualcomm MSM 7225 528 MHz processor and runs on Google Android operating system version 2.1 (Eclair). It has a 384 MB RAM and 512 MB ROM. A memory card slot which supports microSD cards up to 32 GB is also provided. Practically unlimited records can be stored in the phonebook and call logs on the phone. Data connectivity options include Class 10 GPRS with speeds of 32 – 48 kbps, Class 10 EDGE with speeds of 236.8 kbps and high speed HSDPA with speeds up to 7.2 Mbps. For connecting your phone to other devices, features like Bluetooth version 2.1 with A2DP and microUSB version 2.0 are also provided. Internet can be accessed using the pre-installed HTML web browser.

HTC Wildfire boasts of a 5 megapixel camera which can take images upto a resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels. Video recording of VGA resolution is also supported. Other features of the camera include smile detection, autofocus, LED flash, geo-tagging, etc. Users can upload their photos and videos directly to websites such as Facebook, Flickr, Youtube, Picasa from the phone itself. For your entertainment needs, a music and video player applications are preloaded onto the phone. Other applications include digital compass, FM radio, games, voice memo, calculator, calender, organizer, etc. Users can also download applications from the Android App Store.
